Pune and other cities have a range of plantation and greening initiatives that provide a tremendous base of knowledge, concern and willing attitudes for greening and plantation. The advantages of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help enhance existing urban greening initiatives and foster new ones.

Drawing from databases related to urban morphology, land records, weather and climate, soil types, vegetation and tree census, groundwater etc, as well as agent modelling and crowd sourced information, the proposed initiative can enhance manifold the synergy and efficiency of logistics, diverse knowledge bases and citizens’ and corporate volunteer efforts.
